Teen Rock Climb

Information

Hello Teen Pathfinder and Parents,

The Pathfinder Teen Invitational Rock Climbing Adventure is April 19 - 22, 2018.  This is a trip for the teenage Pathfinders only.  It is going to be a lot fun and we want you to come.  Here are the specifics:

The Rock Climbing event is at the Yosemite Valley, located in a truly beautiful place in California Yosemite National Park. Google maps calculated it at three and a half (3 ½) hours from Lodi.

A registration fee of $25.00 per person is due before Wednesday night November 14.  To register our group, I will need to know exactly who is planning on going (everyone).  All Pathfinder are to ride with one of the staff (permission and medical forms required). Everyone will need a personal sleeping bag, pillow, clothing, hygiene items, etc.  A checklist of items will be given out at our next Teen Pathfinder meeting (Wednesday November 8).  The total cost of this trip is $60.00 per person for the registration fee, meals, cooking fuel, campsite for three nights, and national park entrance fee.  We are planning to do some fund raising to help pay these costs.  The balance of $35.00 is due by March 14, 2018.  If you prefer to you can pay the whole amount of $60.00 at our next meeting (November 8, 2017).

The Pathfinders should NOT bring their “Class A” uniform.  Bring your club t-shirt and warm clothes that can get dirty.  Pathfinders will need clothes that can be layered to adjust for changing temperature and climate conditions.

We will have the girls sleep in one tent, the boys in another, and the staff in their own tents in between.

Be prepared for cool weather, especially at night.  We are looking forward to this adventure and will come back with wonderful memories, closer friendships and even some new honors!  Please make plans to join us and let me know by our next meeting (this Wednesday at 6 PM) who will be going on this trip.

Thank You,

David Marson
